This month, I received my subscription box from Ricky’s Cult Crushes and have to admit: this is the best month yet! In my box, I received 3 large beauty products, including a makeup setting spray, eyeshadow palette, and box of false eyelashes. If you have never heard of this service, it’s a monthly box of beauty goodies for $11 a month. Honestly, it’s a steal if you’re open-minded about trying new products.
When I first opened the box, I first noticed a large palette. Eyeshadow palettes aren’t something that I splurge on, so this was really exciting to open and check out. It’s the Chi Chi Cosmetics Eye Palette in “Spices,” but this Chi Chi palette is very similar for $25. The shades are highly pigmented and super blend-able. The palette even comes with a decent sized brush and mirror. This is a win for me!
The next item that I pulled from the box is this practical bottle of makeup setting spray called Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day Setting Spray. The formula feels a lot like this one by NYX Cosmetics for $8. I was running low on my current setting spray, so this came at just the right time. Makeup setting spray is an essential for me because it locks in my foundation for 8 hours. It also works wonders with keeping my lipstick on for long days at work.
The last thing that I’ll mention from the box is this wonderfully large box of falsies. I have enough false eyelashes for everyday of the week, thanks to Ricky’s Cult Crushes! I can’t wait to test out a pair for my Valentine’s Day date with Charlie. A comparable pack of lashes like these will run around $12. What a value!
All in all, I am very pleased with this month’s Ricky’s Cult Crushes box. These items are incredibly practical and will be used immediately. Do you subscribe to Ricky’s Cult Crushes, too? What do you think of this month’s curation?
