Style Story: Navy Jumpsuit

This weekend, I went out for a brunch and park date with my husband on an usually warm February day. We walked right in to Little Octopus in the Gulch for coffee and eggs. Charlie ordered the egg bun and I got the poached egg plate. Both dishes were delicious and filling. After brunch, we zipped over to Centennial Park for a much-needed walk in the sunshine.

After a bit of browsing through my closet for what to wear today, I reached for this comfy jumpsuit that I picked up on a weekend trip to Chattanooga last Fall. This chambray jumpsuit is very similar for $48 and appears to be flying off the shelves. If you are an avid jumpsuit-wearer like me, you will love this piece. It’s soft, loose, and chic.

A bold lip is the obvious choice (which is a surprise to no one), such as Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Berlin for $20. This warm rose lipstick really pops against the neutral navy and chambray tones in this look. Besides my lipstick, I paired my trusty Dansko Dorothy Clogs with a basic navy crew neck tee to round out the look.

My sunglasses are a few years old from Ann Taylor Loft, but these Nordstrom pink sunglasses are very similar! The finishing touch of this outfit is my blush bucket bag that I picked up from one of my favorite local Nashville shops: Pauli’s Place. The owner is just lovely!

The only bit of advice I have with this look is that you have to accept that it’s a bit of a potato sack (laughs). If you’re going for a sexier look, pass on this jumpsuit. If you want something comfy, chic, and a bit offbeat, this look is for you!
