Finds of the Month: February 2018

This month, I brought home a new lip balm, eye cream, a floral maxi dress, a striped cardigan, and a new selection of teas. February felt particularly long for me, probably due to all the rainy days. These new additions to my beauty cabinet and closet are certainly cheering me up, though! Like y’all, I am so ready for the flowers, sunshine, and longer days that come with spring time. Keep reading below to see what I picked up this month.

Maxi Dress & Striped Sweater

I dropped by my favorite East Nashville boutique, Upper EastSide, to browse some of what I’d seen on their Instagram page. The first item I took home with me is this gorgeous pale pink, floral maxi dress. I feel like a million bucks in this dress, even though it’s under $70! I can already see myself wearing this to a spring or summer date, brunch, or a blogger event. It’s flowy in all the right places and just makes me feel really pretty.

The other piece I snapped up was this sweater, pictured below. I was immediately drawn to it because of the loose knit and adorable striped pattern. It is so comfy and costs right under $50. I’ve already worn it for Sunday brunch, an escape room, a visit with my nanny family, and around the house. I highly recommend this piece if you want a boho-style sweater for spring time.

Baume de Rose by Terry Lip Balm

This rose scented lip balm is thick and luxurious. I had read about this cult-favorite balm in beauty magazines, but never pulled the trigger because of the hefty price tag. Although if you’re a beauty junkie like me, you know that you tend to get what you pay for. In this case, this deeply-hydrating balm is 100% worth the $60 price. This was a Christmas gift from my mother-in-law (thanks, Peg!) and I adore it. I love giving and receiving lip products, especially indulgent ones. Such a treat! I use this balm every night right before I turn out the lights. It’s so moisturizing that it’s still on my lips when I wake up the next morning. You can purchase Baume de Rose by Terry here.

Murad Essential-C Eye Cream SPF 15

I went to my facialist over the weekend and she recommended that I start using an eye cream with spf along with my daily moisturizer. I’ve always wanted an eye cream, but never knew which one to pick in an over-saturated market of beauty creams. Since I trust the Murad brand as I use their Pore Reform cleanser that I mentioned in this post, I took the plunge and splurged on the Murad Essential-C Eye Cream. It runs for $69, but I know it will last 6 months and help prevent wrinkles, so it’s well worth it!

Herbal Tea Assortment Box by Tea Forté

This box of pyramid-shaped tea sachets is darling! It comes with several unique herbal tea flavors, like Mojito Marmalade and Kiwi Lime Ginger . I received this as gift and the wonderful lady who gifted it to me should just go ahead and write this monthly series because she is a master gift-giver! My favorite flavor is the Cosmo Cherry and I just love the little box that it lives in. If you are a tea drinker, you’ll want to check out this gift set!

This month’s finds were such a fun little collection of things, all gearing me up for the beginning of spring time and feeling my best.  What did you pick up this month?
