Since I am a lipstick hoarder and welcome new additions to my collection, I have been subscribing to Lip Monthly, a monthly subscription box full of 3-4 lip products and one beauty product for an affordable $12.95 per month. I look forward to receiving full-sized lipsticks, glosses, balms, pencils, face masks, and highlighters.
This month, I received lots of yummy neutral pink lip products, including a balm, lipstick, lip pencil, and highlighter. Keep reading to see what I thought of March’s Lip Monthly.
This Eco Tint Rose Quartz Lip Balm smells like cocoa butter and glides on like a glossy balm. This has quickly become my go-to lip product for Sunday hikes. I went to Percy Warner Park recently for a few hours and this kept my lips moisturized for the entire trail.
This Model Co Long Wear Lipstick in Kitty is a creamy nude lipstick that feels like a balm, but dries with a matte finish. My favorite thing about this product is the fruity scent. It reminds me of the Bonne Bell lip balms I’d swipe on in grade school. Speaking of school, I absolutely love wearing this for a long day of teaching. Since it’s a low-maintenance pink nude, I don’t have to worry about it getting on my teeth or being too precise with my application. I highly recommend getting a Lip Monthly subscription just for discovering new brands and formulas that can quickly become your favorite everyday colors. It feels like a friend hand-picked this pink nude for me. This is my favorite product from this month’s selection.
This Sorme Cosmetics Smearproof Lip Liner in Brique is a gorgeous brick-reddish brown matte color that’s perfect for a date night. I layer this under and over my nude brown lipsticks for a custom brown-red shade. I’ve received Sorme Cosmetics lip pencils in past subscription boxes and they always deliver lasting results. This product glides on smoothly and lasts through a meal!
This Makeuprevue Highlighter in Champagne Dreams was the wild card item, a.k.a. the non-lip product item for this month. Since I am so fair-skinned, this dark highlighter was initially lost on me because bronzers make me look dirty. Nevertheless, I can use this shimmery, pigmented power as a bronzy eyeshadow or eyeliner. If you have an olive or darker skin tone, this will be absolutely gorgeous on your cheeks as a highlighter. The highlighter that I use right now is a pale pink shade by Essence. Do you use highlighters or do you skip this step?
If you are interested, you can try your first month for half the price with the coupon code 50OFF. That’s a pretty good deal to just pay $7 for 4-5 lip products. If you want to try it, you can sign up at Lip Monthly.
