On the same night that we shot these dreamy photos, Haley Clare and I walked around Radnor Lake to capture this early Fall outfit. I absolutely loved working with Haley Clare Photography as we played in the rain and chatted about life. Fun fact: after we took these photos, we got drinks with our mutual friend Ryllis at Rosemary Beauty Queen and had the most delicious summer cocktails. Isn’t it fun when you become friends after a business collaboration? Needless to say, these photos left me wanting more and I definitely plan on hiring Haley Clare for an anniversary shoot or a birthday bridal shoot soon.
As styled in this shoot from the spring, these linen overalls are lightweight and oh-so breathable in the late summer heat. Made in Amish Country, the linen is so soft and cut to accommodate for any body type. I’ve worn these countless times in so many ways: with Birkenstocks and a big floppy hat at a gardening festival with my friend/blogger Shelly from A Garden In Progress, with clogs and a neck scarf for an afternoon in 12 South, and with espadrilles and a knit tank top for a tea time date with fitness blogger Emily Louise. No matter how I style them, I know they will always fit and be comfy, especially around that time of the month. How would you style these overalls?
Whenever I am styling a loose-fitting piece in my closet, I like to pair it with heels to appear taller and leaner. Since this jumpsuit is anything-but-sexy, I threw on a tee and comfy wedges to achieve a cute, casual look. To still feel feminine in this billowy look, I pulled out all the stops for my makeup. I swiped on my wedding lipstick and clipped-in my wavy hair extensions to feel my best. If I’m wearing a neutral outfit, I always reach for a bold lip to balance out the look.
To me, these earthy tones are all I want to wear in the late summer. I’ve exhausted all the bright yellows, pinks, and blues in my closet. I’m ready for early fall outfits, including darker greens, khakis, and browns. What colors do you gravitate towards as summer rolls into fall?
