With the end of Daylight Savings Time and the start of early sunsets, this past week has been full of festive fall traditions, like making crock pot mulled wine, baking pumpkin pies, and pulling out thicker sweaters for chilly weather. Keep scrolling to see the outfits I wore this past week!
For Halloween, I dressed up as a school supply that everyone can get behind. I didn’t choose the crayon life…it chose me. Yes, I wore this to work (laughs). You can be a crayon, too, if you like. This was my happy hour outfit at the underground speakeasy The Rambler. I met up with some blogger pals and wore a cozy shawl (similar) , Madewell jeans, and Sam Edelman suede boots. Be sure to order the Bee’s Knees, a gin cocktail, if you ever go!
This teacher outfit checks all the boxes: modest, comfy, and polished! The girlfriend-style chinos are from Gap and the scarf is an oldie from Francesca’s. Have you checked their poncho section, too, lately? SO MANY cute pieces!
Wearing my vintage mules and sweater from Thred Up. Charlie and I had a late dinner with my bestie Andrea at Bar Louie in the Gulch. Costco is back at it again with this $10 thermal top!The Free People blouse (similar) and clogs are thrifted from Plato’s Closet. I went to the coziest local place, Tin Angel, and ordered the Med Salad. I highly recommend it for a weeknight dinner spot.Leopard print is one of the biggest trends this fall and I’m here for it! This leopard crewneck sweater is from Banana Republic Factory. I wore this to work with a darker brown lipstick called “Macchiato” by Hikari. I threw on this work-appropriate dress and paired it with a cream sweater. I kept the comfy vibe by pulling on my holy grail Dansko booties. They are supportive all day long!Charlie surprised me on Sunday morning by requesting to look at 5 furniture stores. I was delighted! I threw this neutral white look and Stein Mart corduroy jacket on and headed out the door. If you’re curious, we visited Restoration Hardware, Nadeau, Southeastern Salvage, West Elm, and Pottery Barn for house furniture. We also have our eye on several pieces from Sprintz. This is what I wore as a chaperone to the middle school dance (laughs). I decided to make the most of the evening by looking chic and chewing gum as I supervised kids (laughs). The vintage wool jacket is borrowed from my mom and the thermal button top is from Macy’s-in soooo many colors!Another chilly day, another teacher outfit! I paired my old Dress Barn suede skirt with my Costco turtleneck for a chic, warmly dressed look.
Lipstick of the Week
The lipstick of the week is So Susan’s Pumpkin liquid lipstick. The shade is an orange-brown matte shade that feels a bit moody. What do you think of this lip color?
