Pumpkin-Spice Inspired Makeup Look

After a much-needed break this summer from screen-time, I am back in the swing of blogging! Since I’ve last posted on My Lipstick Letters, I’ve joined a running club, celebrated 10 years of being with Charlie, and relished in making new cocktails for fall (I highly recommend mixing brandy with cold-pressed apple cider). As I was running out the door for a coffee date my blogger and teacher pal Shelly from A Garden In Progress, I snapped a few photos of my fall-themed makeup. Now that it’s pumpkin-spice season again, keep scrolling to see my orange and golden-toned makeup look!

Palette: Colourpop at Ulta

While I don’t wear eyeshadow very often, I reach for it when I want a little sparkle on the weekends. Today, I used my beloved orange and golden-toned palette by Colourpop. This actual palette is since sold-out, but I’ve linked a similar one that allows for lots of playful and flirty looks. To achieve this eye look, dip a flat or angled brush into a pot of copper shadow and rim your lower and upper lash-line. For mascara, I swiped on a few coats of Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes.

For my lipstick, I applied a milk-chocolate brown liquid lipstick by Live Glam. I love their matte formulas and subscribe to their monthly Lipstick Club. For $20 a month, I receive 3 lipsticks in seasonal shades. This chocolate shade below is called “No Flocks Given. “

As you can see, this makeup look is simple, chic, and a bit whimsical with pops of copper and chocolate. Don’t be afraid to experiment and try something new for fall! As always, skin is the most important part of any makeup look. To keep my skin clear and glowing, I’ve been applying Obagi Vitamin-C serum and follow with my favorite French pharmacy staple sunscreen from La Roche-Posay.

Well, there you have it: a pumpkin-spice inspired makeup look to kick off the start of autumn. I’m always favoring chocolate lips and pumpkin tones for this chilly weather. What are your favorite makeup looks for fall?

P.s. Here is my favorite pumpkin lipstick color from last year!
